Useful Tips

Choose the storage option that suits you best
When renting a storage unit, the most important thing is to choose a facility that is easily accessible and preferably close to your home. This is especially important if you think you may frequently need access to the items stored in the unit.
Inspect the storage unit
Before signing the rental agreement, it is worth visiting in person and inspecting the selected storage unit.
Read the rental documents carefully
It is important that you carefully read the documents relating to the rental and the use of the storage space before signing the contract. What, until when, and how items may be stored in the selected storage unit.
Consider what types of items you would like to store
Outdoor storage is not recommended for storing a wide variety of items. For example, in the case of papers, documents, books, and other items sensitive to humidity or extreme temperatures, consider choosing our indoor climate-controlled storage units.
What to look for when choosing a storage unit
  • It is important that the storage facility is secure. Check the security features, taking into account cameras, good lighting, and site access control.
  • The storage facility should be clean and well-maintained.
  • The storage facility is accessible only during opening hours, or 24/7.
  • The staff should be easy to reach and respond quickly in case of a problem.
  • It should be easily accessible by vehicle during loading.
Choose a storage unit of the right size for your belongings
Before selecting a storage unit, try gathering your items together in one place so you can estimate what size space you will need. When making your choice, ask the operator for help in selecting the storage unit that best suits your needs.
Buy a secure padlock!
When choosing a padlock/lock, it is worth researching online for recommendations, brands, and quality. There are plenty of useful guides available related to well-known brands.
