Warehouse rental / Handover process / Access to the properties
  1. Select the mini storage unit, outdoor rentable storage container, or indoor mini storage unit that suits you on our website. In the Detailed Storage Search menu, you can sort storage units by multiple criteria.
  2. Request a quote from our colleague by phone at 06-20-368-3001, by email at info@raktar24.hu, or add the storage unit(s) you like to your enquiry list on the website. You can request a quote for multiple locations at once online.
  3. Compare the features available for each storage unit using the compare function. Consider how often you plan to use your storage unit and what kind of heavy items you wish to store. If you do not plan to visit your mini storage frequently, take a look at our upper-floor units, which are more affordable than the drive-up self-storage units accessible directly by car.
  4. Once you have found the right storage unit, we will sign a rental agreement. Both private individuals and companies can use the mini storage units and the services of raktar24.hu.
  5. Prior to signing the contract, we will personally accompany you to the site, where you can change your selected storage unit at the last minute, as long as there are still available units.
  6. During the personal site visit, we will show you how to access the property, including how to open the gate via phone and how to use the alarm system.
  7. Please prepare the following documents for the contract signing. The contract is signed at our office; we will send you our personalised offer and the draft contract in advance. At the time of signing, we will hand over the alarm code and the gate-opening phone number. Upon signing the contract, a 2-month deposit must be paid in a lump sum in addition to the current monthly rental fee, which will be refunded at the end of the period specified in the contract.
  8. Our clients have the option to purchase a padlock at our office, but we recommend buying your own. One key from the padlock will be placed in an envelope at the time of contract signing, which will be sealed in front of the Tenant and kept in a secure location. Please purchase a padlock that comes with at least 3 keys.
  9. For the contract signing, please prepare the details and phone numbers of the persons you designate as having access to the storage unit, as well as a password that will need to be provided.
  10. Please inform our colleague if you would like to use any binding, shelving, or other services found in the Services menu.
When and how can I view the warehouses / storage units?

We always show the storage units / warehouses and container storage facilities in person, so there is also the possibility that if during the viewing it turns out that a different size is needed (either smaller or larger), we can show you the available container storage locations as well as the indoor storage rooms available for rent / lease on the spot.

Is the contract signing done in person?
The satisfaction of our customers and personal availability are important to us. Therefore, the contract is signed in person with you, at a pre-arranged time at our office. If the contractual terms have been sent and accepted in advance, there is also an opportunity to sign the contract on-site at the time of the storage unit handover.
Who and how many people can use the storage unit?
The storage unit may only be used by persons designated by the Tenant. The storage space is non-transferable, and the Tenant who has entered into a contract with raktar24 is responsible for the items stored therein. In addition to their own phone number, the Tenant may register a maximum of 5 additional opening phone numbers.
How do I get access to open the gate?
The gates for accessing the storage units can be opened using your phone number and the phone numbers of up to 2 additional persons you designate. To open the gate, you need to call the phone number provided by us from your device, and the gate will open; the same process applies when closing it again. The phone numbers and the names of the persons must be submitted at the time of signing the contract, and they can be changed at any time.
What should I do if someone's phone number changes?
You need to notify the central office, where the requested phone number will be immediately reprogrammed after the password is provided.
Can I pay by bank card?
Currently, no POS terminal is available.
How is the rental fee paid?
According to the terms and conditions set out in the GTC, you can pay in cash or by bank transfer.
How is the contract signed?

If the parties have agreed on everything, the contract is signed at the raktar24.hu office(2000 Szentendre, Dózsa György út 87., molino.hu building next to the OMV petrol station) during opening hours.

What insurance is included with the storage units?
The rental agreement does not include insurance. If the customer wishes, they can take out separate insurance for the items stored in the storage unit.
Who does the response service notify in case of an alarm, and what should I do?
The response service notifies our colleague first. The Dispatcher checks the source of the alarm and notifies the tenant if necessary. The cost of an unnecessary call-out due to a false alarm is paid by the tenant, at a rate of 5,500 HUF per occurrence, and will be added to the next rental invoice. If the false alarm was not caused by the tenant, the response service will arrive on site within 5 minutes. At our sites with live guarding, the person responsible for protecting the area will investigate the issue. If a false alarm occurs, please call our colleague at phone number 06 20 368 3001.
When can I move in?
The condition for moving in is the receipt of the rental fee and the deposit. The rental fee is calculated from the date specified in the contract, regardless of the actual move-in date. The rental fee is due from the 1st or the 15th of each month. The first rental fee is calculated on a pro-rata basis until the end of the month.
Can I bring my own padlock, or can I change the lock?
The storage unit / storage container opens exclusively with your own padlock. Good quality padlocks are available for purchase at our office.
How is the rent calculated?
Rent is calculated from the move-in date to the move-out date. The first rent payment is calculated on a pro-rata basis until the end of the month.
When does the contract renew, and how can I cancel it?
The contract always renews automatically, unless the parties have agreed otherwise.
Can I get a discount for paying the full duration in advance in one payment?

What should I bring for signing the contract?

As a private individual, you will need your identity card, passport or driving licence and your address card.

In the case of a business rental, a company registration extract, a specimen signature document and a copy of the identity card of the signatory or their authorised representative are required. In the case of an authorised signatory, a power of attorney agreement concluded with the company's signatory is required, for which you can also download the template from here.

How does the selection and handover of the storage unit take place?
The selection of the storage unit takes place online, with the help of the floor plans visible on the website and our colleagues. For the on-site handover and demonstration of operation, we always come to you in person for the possession handover, and the return of the storage unit is also carried out in person. We can only refund the deposit after the personal return has taken place.
What activities are not permitted in the Storage units and warehouses?

PROHIBITED are any kind of technical assembly, welding, use of fire, loud activities, loud music, smoking, and alcohol consumption that involve noise or mess. Violating these rules will result in the loss of the deposit and the termination of the rental agreement.

Who should I contact if accidental damage has occurred in the property?
Any damage caused to the property, as well as the costs of cleaning tasks related to the incident, must in all cases be reimbursed by the Tenant. If any issue arises, please contact our Customer Service.
Do I need to close the electric gates myself?
The electric sliding gates and sectional garage doors close automatically. Please pay attention to the audible and visual signals warning of closing. If you wish to close it sooner (e.g. it is cold and you have pulled in with your car to unload), you need to call the phone number again and the gate will close or shut down.
How can I cancel the alarm in case of a false alarm?
Our colleague will also be notified of the alarm in your premises, and they will coordinate by phone to determine whether the response team should be dispatched. If the false alarm is not cancelled, the call-out fee specified in the General Terms and Conditions will be paid by the Tenant. In the event of a false alarm, please call our colleague at phone number 06 20 368 3001.
What happens if I cannot pay the rental fee?
According to the General Terms and Conditions, after the grace period has elapsed, the storage unit / storage room will be locked, and you will not be able to access the rental property until the invoice has been settled.
What happens if I received a discount for a fixed period, but I leave earlier?
In this case, we calculate on a pro-rata basis what the rental fee (monthly fee) would have been for the time actually spent, and the difference must be settled.
What heavy items can be stored in the storage units?
The storage containers can hold up to 300 kg / m², the ground-floor indoor temperature-controlled storage units up to 500 kg / m². The upper-floor storage units can hold up to 300 kg / m². For lifting heavy items, please ask our colleagues for professional assistance.
Can you help with carrying items upstairs, lifting, or other similar tasks?
