Outdoor container or indoor storage?
Every type of storage unit, mini warehouse, and self-storage has its own advantages. Our outdoor so-called container storage units and warehouse containers are directly accessible by car right up to the entrance of the unit. This means that after opening the gate via your phone, you can start loading and unloading your vehicle within as little as one minute. They feature a comfortable interior height, making them particularly suitable for storing larger furniture and items, or even a car.
However, it is worth considering, when renting an outdoor shipping container for an extended period (for which a discount naturally applies at Raktár24), that due to weather changes, the container can heat up to 40–50 degrees Celsius during the summer months, while in winter the temperature inside the outdoor storage containers equals the outside temperature.
In our indoor temperature-controlled mini storage units, there are no temperature fluctuations – under our contract, we guarantee a temperature of at least 5 degrees Celsius above zero. Among our indoor mini storage units, those on the ground floor at our Pomáz location are equipped with individual alarms, and every single unit also has a smoke detector. Here, and at our Szentendre location as well, you can drive your car into the forecourt of the warehouse hall, so you don't have to expose yourself to harsh outdoor weather during loading and unloading.

Advantages of container storage:

Disadvantages of container storage:
- items and products sensitive to temperature changes cannot be stored
- not every container is equipped with an individual alarm
- personal lighting must be used

- at certain storage units, you can drive directly into the warehouse
